Email Etiquette Again!

Posted by AAL on September 21, 2007

Seeking an answer to the question of who to talk to about conflicting interpretations to the CBA. I emailed the provost’s secretary to ask who outside of Library would it be appropriate for me to talk with concerning this issue. Specifically, should I address my concerns to the provost? She sent back a terse reply “Contact your Union representative!” AND she cc’d Boobie who is part of the problem!! What is with these people? Are they really that stupid or have they no ethics? A bit of both is a dangerous combination…

More threats…

Posted by AAL on September 19, 2007

Boobie sent me an email ordering me to fill in the schedule in the manner demanded by Miserly by noon that day or I would be insubordinate and there “would be consequences.” When I asked her what she was talking about – what was meant by insubordinate and what consequences, she threatened to “set my schedule.” When I asked her repeatedly what she meant, she refused to answer me.

Another example of excellent management skills!

I Gotta Get Out of this Place…

Posted by AAL on September 10, 2007

Doc has accepted a position at another library – so I will surely be leaving shortly after or maybe before – depends on when the need to leave outweighs the desire to continue to try to do this job. With all of the negative energy here – I don’t imagine I will be staying long.

Also, Boobie is “in charge” and that has resulted in a new and interesting way to run Library. The staff is livid with her at the helm – never has there been a person so determined to distinguish herself from others she sees as lesser in some manner – great characteristic for management.
